YY200 Boutique Offices
Located in the historic Former French Concession, one of Shanghai’s trendiest neighborhoods, the YY200 building is a newly developed boutique office space. Inspired by the elite social clubs of London, the recently renovated space transforms this historical building, welcoming it into the 21st century.
Preserving the historic Art-Deco façade, which dates back to the 1930’s, was of utmost importance to the Client. Using the latest 3D simulation software, the team at a_a&d enlarged the windows, maximizing the use of natural light and ventilation, giving the entire space a warm, organic ambiance that is aligned with high standards of energy efficiency. Most of the construction materials, including the beautiful hardwood floors, were recycled from local sources, contributing to the minimal carbon footprint of the project, and embodying a_a&d’s overall philosophy of sustainability.
