Situated in the Côte d’Azur on the Mediterranean coast of France, this ground floor apartment sits on a hill with a spectacular view of the ocean. The apartment as it was suffered from an ambiguous layout of spaces and outdated decor. The first step of the renovation was to tear down anything not structurally important, giving us a blank slate, the kitchen and bathrooms were then completely refitted and reorganized.
The front room, which opens up to the patio and pool by way of large French windows to the South, is divided into a large living and dining space with a wood burning stove and a full height bookcase and, behind a new wall, a more cosy and private office space surrounded on three sides by another full height shelving system. The kitchen is open to the living/dining space making cooking and eating informal and relaxed. Three bedrooms and two bathrooms flank the central living space, while outside a pool and patio allow the residents to enjoy the view and the weather.
